Is there a cheaper way to get something similar?
There are cheaper tools. None of them do the same thing.
The tools that cost less than Vantage are general-purpose: they apply industry-average scoring models, generic ICP signals, and rules-based prioritization to your pipeline. They are useful for teams with simple, predictable qualification criteria and a broad ICP. If your business fits that profile, a cheaper tool may be sufficient.
If your qualification standard is nuanced, relationship-dependent, or built on signals that are specific to how your firm works — not just which industry the account is in or what their headcount is — then cheaper tools produce cheaper output. They will score records the way the average professional services firm would score them, not the way you would.
What you can try for less
CRM-native scoring tools (like HubSpot’s AI scoring or Salesforce Einstein) are included in many CRM subscriptions. They apply basic predictive scoring based on aggregate engagement signals. They are worth testing before investing in a custom system.
Outreach intelligence tools like Apollo, Salesloft, and Outreach have built-in scoring features. They are designed for high-volume outbound and work best when your pipeline is measured in thousands of records, not dozens.
What you give up
None of these tools learn from your specific evaluation standard. None of them can encode the pattern recognition you have built over years of calling on your specific market. None of them will tell your reps who to call based on how you think — only based on how the average company thinks.
For firms where the principal’s judgment is genuinely the differentiator, the cost of not encoding that judgment is usually larger than the cost of Vantage.
