How do I know if Vantage is working?

Vantage is working when accuracy improves over time and your team’s behavior shifts toward spending more time on the right accounts. Measure accuracy and business impact separately, and speak up if it doesn’t feel like it’s working.

Vantage is working if the scores match your judgment at an improving rate over time, and if your team is spending less time on the wrong accounts.

Those two things are distinct. A system can be technically accurate (scoring records the way you would) while your team ignores the scores. And a system can be improving accuracy while the business impact is not yet visible because the team has not adjusted their prioritization behavior.

Measure both separately.

Measuring accuracy

The primary signal is your correction rate. If you are correcting fewer records each week for the same reasons, accuracy is improving. If corrections are concentrated in a consistent category (e.g., the system consistently misses relationship context), that is a trainable pattern — it will improve.

Fulcrum tracks the correction rate and accuracy trajectory in the weekly brief. You do not need to calculate this yourself.

The formal accuracy threshold is the one embedded in the kill criteria: if tier agreement between the system and the principal falls below 60% in the live phase, the engagement enters review.

Measuring business impact

The cleaner signal is your team’s output:

  • Is the team spending more time on Tier 1 accounts than they were before?
  • Are they flagging fewer low-probability records for your review?
  • Are you personally reviewing pipeline less often because the prioritized list is already close to what you would have built?

Most clients see the business impact signal clearly by Month 3–4. Before that, the impact is latent — the system is scoring correctly, but the behavior change in how the team works takes time to compound.

What to do if it does not feel like it is working

Say so. The most common reason a client feels like the system is not working is that the correction cadence slipped — the reviews were inconsistent and the system stagnated. The second most common reason is that the team is not using the scores. Both are solvable.
