FAQ Lab

How do I know if a custom build is the right answer?

If you've tried two or more existing tools and neither addresses your specific constraint, that's a signal. If the manual process your team is running costs more in time than a build would cost to maintain, that's a signal. We'll tell you honestly in the first conversation if we think a custom build is the right move or if an existing solution would serve you better.

Two clear signs suggest you may need a custom build:

  1. Existing tools can’t handle your specific constraint.
  2. Your manual process is more expensive than maintaining a custom system.

In our first conversation, we’ll tell you directly whether a custom build makes sense or whether an existing product is the better fit. We have no incentive to push a build when an off‑the‑shelf solution will serve you better. The Lab is for problems that truly require a custom solution, not a default answer to every operational issue.
