Will Vantage break anything in my existing CRM?

Vantage is a scoped, read-and-write-to-designated-fields system that does not alter your existing CRM records, workflows, or automations beyond the specific fields you configure.

No. Vantage is a read-and-write-to-designated-fields system. It does not modify your existing records, delete data, change workflows, or touch automation rules you have in place.

Here is the explicit scope of what Vantage does and does not touch in your CRM.

What Vantage reads

  • Contact, account, deal, and activity records from the modules you authorize during setup.
  • Read access is scoped only to those authorized modules.

What Vantage writes

  • Scores
  • Tier assignments
  • Rationale text
  • Enrichment timestamps

These are written only to the fields you designate during setup. They are either:

  • New custom fields Fulcrum creates, or
  • Existing fields you explicitly map for this purpose.

What Vantage does not touch

Vantage does not modify:

  • Your existing workflows
  • Automation rules
  • Required field configurations
  • Pipeline stage definitions
  • Email sequences
  • Any data outside the scoped modules

What could go wrong

1. Field mapping conflicts

The most common integration issue is field mapping conflicts — when a field Vantage wants to write to already contains important data in a different format.

  • This is identified and resolved during Phase 1 configuration before the system goes live.

2. CRM permission scope

The second most common issue is CRM permission scope.

  • If the API credentials do not have the correct write permissions for the designated output fields, the first run will fail cleanly.
  • No data will be corrupted, but the output will not appear.
  • This is caught and corrected before the live system runs.

Fulcrum runs a configuration validation before the first live pipeline. The system does not process real records until the integration is confirmed to be clean.
