Guide Vantage

When does Vantage start to feel like it actually knows my business?

Most teams feel Vantage "click" in Month 3–4, when it shifts from following your stated rules to mirroring how you actually think and make decisions.

For most clients, the turning point happens somewhere in Month 3 or Month 4. Before that, the system is useful but you are still doing meaningful supervision. After that, you start catching yourself thinking “yes, that’s right” more often than you are correcting.

The feeling that the system knows your business comes from a specific experience:

  • You see a record it scored highly that you would not have thought to prioritize, and when you look at the rationale, the logic is sound.
  • Or you see it surface a combination of signals you had not consciously named as a pattern — and it turns out you were using that pattern implicitly for years.

What changes between Month 1 and Month 4

Month 1:

  • The system is applying what you described in the Voice Corpus.
  • It uses your explicit criteria, tier definitions, and named disqualifiers.
  • It is working from your specification.
  • Most errors come from situations your specification did not cover.

By Month 4:

  • The system has processed real corrections across dozens of real records.
  • It has seen your actual responses to situations your Voice Corpus did not anticipate.
  • The pattern library is no longer just what you said — it reflects what you demonstrated.

The shift is from “the system knows what I told it” to “the system knows how I actually think.”

What accelerates the timeline

Two factors have an outsized impact on how quickly Vantage starts to feel like it truly knows your business:

  1. Principal engagement in early correction cycles
    • Active involvement from the key decision-maker in Months 1–2.
    • High-quality, consistent corrections.
    • Clear, noted corrections — not just changing the outcome, but adding brief explanations.
    • These explanations help the system learn much faster.
  2. A clean, consistent CRM
    • The system learns from the data it can see.
    • If CRM data is patchy, incomplete, or inconsistently filled in, the learning curve is slower.
    • Cleaner, more consistent data leads to faster, more reliable calibration.
